Hosted by: Stacie Simpson
Girl Scout camps unite! Get connected with your sisters from across the midwest to share ideas, tackle challenges, and speak the language of Girl Scouts (acronyms will abound)! Get the CliffsNotes version of the Girl Scout Kindred discussions at ACA National (in case you missed it) and carry that conversation even further at the regional level. Plus: surprises, door prizes, and BFF status, as we decide how to stay connected over the summer season.

Start from Scratch: Your Volunteer Management Kick-Start

  • Pheasant Run Resort

Chances are you've got plenty of ideas to improve camp and yet not enough time to do it. You've got tons of (likely award-winning) program ideas, but no time to prepare for or implement them. And your to-do list keeps getting longer and longer. Oh, and let me guess...no budget to hire more staff?! Let me introduce you to a solution: volunteers.

There's no doubt that having a committed, engaged group of hard-working volunteers can make a HUGE difference for your camp or program. But where do you start? Whether you're building a volunteer program from scratch or need a major revamp to your existing system, let's get through the setup phase together. You'll leave this session with written position descriptions, marketing and recruitment messaging, and a plan for training and orientation-all the tools you need to hit the ground running when you return to your office.

Cost: $50.00 per person,
Note: This session is typically $240 for my consulting clients, but not for my Mid States Friends!

Min/Max for participants 10 min/ 60 max
Deadline for registration: March 10th, 2017, walk-ins will be accepted.
