DetailS

In a full-day, in-person workshop format, we'll start with an overview of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, the National Program Portfolio, and Program Pillars. Then, we'll dive into new Journeys and badges, sampling activities from each. We'll be modeling the three processes (girl-led, learning by doing, and cooperative learning) all along the way, and debriefing the results. We'll laugh, we'll create, we'll immerse ourselves into the world of troop leaders and girls.

This training is available for staff teams and/or volunteer teams.

    You'll get:

    • 30 minute prep session (phone or video call) to share unique needs of your team and/or your priorities for the training
    • Email introduction to your team, prior to training
    • 6 hours of hands-on program training, including guided discussion
    • Handouts and materials to support hands-on learning, including electronic access to handouts
    • Executive Summary Report, one week following the training

With a full day workshop, your team will...

    • Become familiar with new Journeys and badges, through hands-on activities from the curriculum itself and guided discussion
    • Become confident in answering questions that troop leaders or parents will have
    • Know where to find resources in the Volunteer Toolkit or via websites
    • Develop teamwork through living out the three processes and keys to leadership

        DetailS

Maybe you're thinking: new program content is cool and everything, but my priorities are on something different right now. "I've got 99 problems and badges ain't one." I totally get it. Most council staff are overstretched, to do lists are bursting at the seams, and budgets keep getting smaller.

With a 1-on-1 coaching package, our sessions are customized to exactly what you need to reach your goals. Whether you're a program manager with a big goal to get a new program up and running, a COO with so many projects going at once that you can barely keep track of it all, or a new supervisor (congrats!) and not sure where to start. Or maybe you've got something totally different going on.

I'm a really good cheerleader, a goal setter, a reality-check friend. I'll ask the right questions and help hold you accountable. I've worked at every level of Girl Scouts and I've seen what works and what doesn't. I've coached big teams and small teams and individuals.
Just be clear though: I'm not a trained therapist, lawyer, or HR professional.
